Mindfulness in Motion

When practising Qigong we often focus on our breath.  Focusing on our breath whilst moving our body helps to bring ourselves out of our minds, where we tend to spend most of our time, and in to our body which we can sometimes feel disconnected to.  

When we are mindful we are fully engaged with whatever we’re doing at the present time.  We can become absorbed in our activity and learn to let go of thoughts and worries when they arise.

Practicing mindfulness helps us to be more accepting and kinder to ourselves and also to others.  This helps us to lower our stress levels which can be hugely beneficial to our physical and mental health.  

Quietening the mind also allows us to reconnect with who we are and how we want to be.
